A semi-desert residential development in central-northern Dubai, also marketed as Al Athba. It covers about 10.5 sq km and was allocated for residential plots under the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment programme for Emirati citizens. The area is villa-only, spacious and quiet, bordered by Emirates Road (E611), Al Awir Road (E44), Tripoli Street (D83) and Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street (D54).
Everyday retail is limited; nearby supermarkets include Zoom and local stores, with larger shopping at City Centre Mirdif or Dubai Festival City. Long-term camping is permitted in the desert area. There are no KHDA-registered schools inside Wadi Alshabak itself; the nearest schools are in Al Warqa'a or Al Khawaneej.
