Character & lifestyle
A small, low-rise residential pocket in western Dubai, squeezed between Al Satwa and Jumeirah 1 and bounded by Al Wasl Road (D92) and Al Satwa Road (D90). The feel is older Dubai: a mix of mid-rise apartment buildings and villa compounds, with local supermarkets, shawarma stalls and tailoring shops along 2nd December Street (still widely called Al Diyafah). It is not a master-planned community, but it sits a few minutes from City Walk, the Etihad Museum and Jumeirah Mosque, and a short drive from La Mer and Jumeirah public beach. a Dubai property portal and a Dubai property portal both treat it as a distinct area guide, separate from Al Satwa and Jumeirah 1.
Everyday life runs along 2nd December Street/Al Diyafah, with budget-to-mid dining, grocery stores and tailoring shops. Al Wasl Park and Al Badaa Park are the local green spaces. City Walk, Al Ghazal Mall and Nesto Hypermarket cover retail and dining, while the Etihad Museum, Jumeirah Mosque, Mercato Mall and Jumeirah/La Mer beaches are all within a few minutes' drive. It is a calm, residential streetscape rather than a nightlife or beachfront destination.
