Your privacy on Eric

Who we are

Eric is a property-search assistant operated by Eighty Eight AI Ltd ("88", "we", "us"). You reach Eric by messaging our business number on WhatsApp. Eric interviews you about what you are looking for, shortlists real Dubai listings, and, when you are ready, introduces you to a partner brokerage that can take the search forward. This policy covers the personal information Eric handles in that conversation.

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to help you find a home:

• Your WhatsApp number. It is how Eric recognises you and remembers your preferences from one conversation to the next.
• What you tell Eric. The messages you send, including your requirements: budget, number of bedrooms, preferred areas, property type, timing, financing, and similar details you choose to share.
• Voice notes. If you send a voice note, it is converted to text so Eric can read it. We do not use your voice for any other purpose.
• A preference profile. A structured summary of the requirements above, built from your messages so Eric does not make you repeat yourself next time.

Eric does not ask for, and you should not send, sensitive documents such as passport scans, bank statements, or payment-card numbers over the chat.

How we use your information

• To understand what you are looking for and hold a useful conversation.
• To search real listings and shortlist properties that fit your requirements.
• To remember your preferences across sessions so the help gets better over time.
• To prepare a short, qualified-lead summary for a partner broker when you ask to be connected to a human, so they can follow up without you starting over.

When we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited ways:

• With a partner brokerage. When you ask to speak to a human or to view properties, we pass your requirements and contact number to the relevant brokerage so a licensed agent can help you. They use it to contact you about your property search.
• With service providers that run Eric. We use trusted infrastructure to operate the assistant: WhatsApp / Meta (messaging), our AI model provider (to generate replies), our database and hosting providers (to store your preferences and run the service), and a speech-to-text provider (only if you send a voice note). They process data on our behalf under their own terms and only to deliver these functions.
• Where the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and our service.

WhatsApp and Meta

You message Eric through WhatsApp, which is provided by Meta. Your use of WhatsApp is also governed by WhatsApp's own Privacy Policy. We receive the messages you send to our business number so that Eric can reply. We use this information only to provide the assistant described here, not for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep your preference profile for as long as it is useful to help with your property search and to maintain the service. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see below), and we will do so unless we are required to keep it to meet a legal obligation.

Your choices and rights

• Stop the conversation. You can stop messaging Eric at any time. You can also block the number in WhatsApp.
• Access or delete your data. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at the address below.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data under local law. We will honour those rights where they apply.

Children

Eric is intended for adults looking for property. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Eric evolves. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page.
